Robert Downey Jr. Reportedly Set To Appear In ‘Black Widow’
Earlier this year, Marvel fans said goodbye to Tony Stark in the MCU. Or so we thought. As first reported by Deadline, Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his iconic role in next year’s Black Widow.
During this weekend’s Saturn Awards, Downey was honored for his role in Avengers: Endgame. According to the media outlet following his appearance, Downey will have a cameo in Natasha Romanoff’s solo outing.
This could seemingly work with the placing of Black Widow. Early reports indicate that the film is set in between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, a time period in which Tony Stark was alive and well. However, this was also a tumultuous time for the Avengers. Black Widow was running from the law for violating the Sokovia Accords while Stark was busy grooming Peter Parker.

With no official confirmation from Marvel themselves, this appearance may be one kept under wraps until the film premieres next May.
