Tiffany Haddish Wants To Join The ‘Wonder Woman’ Franchise

The Kitchen star Tiffany Haddish has her eyes on another DC Comics property in the DC Extended Universe. Haddish recently expressed interest in joining Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in Themiscyra.
During the promotional tour for The Kitchen, Yahoo Entertainment had the opportunity to catch up with Haddish, Melissa McCarthy and Elizabeth Moss. During the interview, the topic of starring in Batgirl came up. McCarthy and Moss weren’t familiar with the history of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, but Haddish knew her stuff and also threw her hat in the ring for a DCEU role:
“Batgirl? I mean, I’d rather be Wonder Woman’s sister, Nubia. 1976 to 1978 issue of Wonder Woman. I know my comic books. [Also,] I’d rather be Mystery Girl. She kicks ass.”
Nubia was introduced as Diana’s long lost twin back in 1973’s Wonder Woman #204. Queen Hippolyta created Wonder Woman and Nubia from clay. After being brought to life, Nubia was then stolen by Mars, the God of War. Nubia is also one of the first black superheroines in DC Comics history despite not having many appearances in comics.
Mystery Girl, also known as Trine Hampstead, made her debut in Dark Horse comics back in 2015. Mystery Girl’s superpowers allow her to have the ability to know all questions. The downside of knowing every question is that Trine doesn’t know how she knows it and she can’t remember anything from the last ten years of her life.
