‘Better Call Saul’ Star Bob Odenkirk In Talks To Join ‘Wonder Man’

A major star is reportedly in talks to join Marvel Studios’ upcoming Wonder Man series. According to The Illuminerdi, Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk is being eyed for a special role in the show.
Odenkirk is seemingly being eyed to play Wonder Man’s manager in Hollywood. The show will reportedly parody the filmmaking industry and Hollywood in general. The series recently tapped Watchmen star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to portray the titular hero. In addition, Ben Kingsley is set to reprise his role as Trevor Slattery in the show.

Created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Don Heck in 1964, Wonder Man debuted in The Avengers #9. Simon Williams was initially introduced as a villain with ionic powers. Eventually, the character was reformed and even went on to join the Avengers. In the comics, Wonder Man’s brain pattern was copied to create the mental template for Vision.
Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will executive produce the series, while Andrew Guest (Community and Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will serve as head writer. The project is part of Cretton’s overall deal with Marvel Studios he signed after Shang-Chi.
