Leaked Audition Tape Reveals SPOILER’s Role In ‘Doctor Strange 2’

A recently surfaced audition tape from what appears to be Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has seemingly confirmed the return of a recent character. Based on the contents of the tape, the film will see the return of Wanda and Vision’s son Tommy, aka Speed.

In the video, which can be seen below, actor Julien Debaker is auditioning for the role of Tommy. His character is talking off-screen to his brother Billy, aka Wiccan. Given the age of the actor, it seems that Marvel will be aging the character up from his appearance in WandaVision. Ultimately this makes sense since he will most likely be joining the future Young Avengers.

While it was previously rumored that Tommy and Billy would appear in the film, it is exciting to find this kind of confirmation. Given the events of WandaVision and what has been revealed about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seems that the film will see Wanda continue her search for her children across the multiverse.

The video has provided a number of clues to Tommy’s role in the film as well as for Billy. In the tape, it is revealed that the character is being held in some sort of prison, which would match what happened to him in the comics. Additionally, it seems that Billy has gone a different route than his brother as they mention he was on TV performing some form of heroics in his new suit. The video also mentioned Billy’s “friends” that put Tommy in the facility, but it remains to be seen if this was referring to the Young Avengers or a different group.

Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams are also set to reprise their roles from the original film as Wong, Strange’s nemesis Karl Mordo, and Christine Palmer, respectively. Actress Xochitl Gomez is also set to appear as America Chavez. Sam Raimi took over directing duties for the movie after Scott Derrickson exited the project in early 2020.
