James Spader To Return As Ultron In Marvel Studios’ ‘Vison’ Series

An iconic Marvel villain is set to make their return to the MCU in an upcoming Disney+ series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Spader is set to reprise his role as Ultron in the untitled Vision series.

Spader first appeared as the robotic foe in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, the same film in which Paul Bettany’s Vision debuted. The duo will reportedly reunite in the follow-up series to WandaVision, which ended with a resurrected white Vision going off on his own to discover who he is.

The untitled series is being helmed by Terry Matalas, who served as showrunner on Star Trek: Picard. Additionally, while no official title has been given to the show, some have referred to it as Vision Quest , based on the comic book storyline of the same name, which focused on the white Vision.

It is unknown how Spader’s Ultron will return in the show given that he was seemingly destroyed at the end of Age of Ultron. It’s possible some form of him survived, or he could be a memory from Vision’s past.
