Marvel Studios Developing ‘Nova’ Project With ‘Moon Knight’ Writer

A new cosmic hero is seemingly making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Deadline, Marvel is developing a Nova project with Moon Knight scribe Sabir Pirzada on board to write.
Created by Marv Wolfman and John Romita Sr. in 1976, the character debuted in The Man Called Nova #1. Richard Rider is a member of an intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, a group that has previously appeared in the MCU. The hero has served as a major member of the cosmic corner of the Marvel universe and has served on a number of teams, including the New Warriors and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

It is unknown at this time if this project is being developed as a feature film or as a limited series for Disney+. Marvel Studios has begun utilizing the streamer to introduce new characters to the universe, so the latter is possible.
Pirzada, in addition to serving as a writer on Moon Knight, is also known for his work on The Crossing and Person of Interest. As of now no other members of the projects creative team has been announced.
