‘Moon Knight’: Ethan Hawke To Play Lead Villain In Disney+ Series

Marvel has added yet another big name to its upcoming Disney+ series, Moon Knight. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Ethan Hawke has joined the cast.
Hawke has closed a deal to play the lead villain opposite Oscar Isaac, who is playing the titular hero of the show. THR did not confirm who exactly he will play; however, it was previously rumored that Bushman will play a major role in the series. Additionally, it has been rumored that Dracula and Jack Russell, aka Werewolf by Night will appear.

Hawke has been nominated twice for his roles in 2002’s Training Day and 2015’s Boyhood, in addition to two nominations for his writing for 2005’s Before Sunrise and 2014’s Before Midnight. Most recently, Hawke starred alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in The Northman.
Jeremy Slater, known for his work on Netflix’s Umbrella Academy adaptation, is set to develop and write the Marvel Studios series. Moreover, Mohamed Diab (Clash), Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead (The Endless) will direct various episodes of Moon Knight as well.
