It looks like we have yet another look at the set of Marvel Studios’ Eternals. Some new set photos have surfaced from the set of the film providing some further details about the setting.

An eagle-eyes Reddit used on vacation in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands stumbled upon the set of the film and noticed some potential details. Beside the giant blue screen featured in the image, the vacationer noticed the production had designed a massive gate and based on its design, concluded it could be the Ishtar Gate, the entrance to Babylon.

Babylon was the capital of ancient Persia, the world’s first empire. The empire had several gods, and it seems that the Eternals could be stand-ins for them or may be mistaken for them. Unfortunately, no actors were on set, but it is exciting to learn some new details about the film.

Recently, we got our first look at the set of Eternals from images that featured Angelina Jolie as Thena. The actress was spotted in a body of water while donning a stunning white dress. Speculation would lead one to believe those images feature Thena in Ancient Greece, which has been a rumored setting for the film.

  2. Technically, the Babylonian gates we’re not in Persia. They were in Assyria. The King of Persia then conquered the area of where the gates were located in 539 BC.(or roughly around that time) But still wasn’t considered Persia mainland. I know this because my heritage is 100% Assyrian and I spend a lot of time learning and researching about my heritage because how interesting it is to me. And yes… We still exist today. Lol. But this is awesome! Can’t wait for this movie!

  3. Wow Jacob, you are an idiot. ‘Babylon was the capital of ancient Persia, the world’s first empire.’? Want to do research before you type up such an article? Have you ever heard of the Assyrians? We were the actual first civilisation/empire. Babylon was a part of Assyria. Seriously dude!
