‘Dope’s Rick Famuyiwa Will Return To ‘The Mandalorian’ Season Two
We are only a few months away until we get to see The Mandalorian, a new Star Wars story. Fan-favorite Jon Favreau is serving as showrunner, and the talent behind the camera should excite everyone.
One director we will see is Dope’s very own Rick Famuyiwa. His episode count is two this season, but DiscussingFilm confirms that he will return for more on season 2. This means that Lucasfilm and co. must love what he’s done so far. It isn’t clear if any other directors will return, but it’s safe to say that Taika Waititi will not due to filming his next project. Jon Favreau will also return for season 2 staying on as the showrunner.
Famuyiwa was offered to direct episodes for Cassian Andor as well. Now it seems he’s passed that up to stay on The Mandalorian. Disney+ will be home to a multitude of new Star Wars properties. Joining The Mandalorian and Cassian Andor is an Obi-Wan series as well. It is a good time to be a Star Wars fan!
