Joseph Quinn Joins The Cast Of Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator’ Sequel

The highly anticipated Gladiator sequel continues to pick up steam and assemble an incredibly stacked ensemble cast. As first reported by Deadline, the breakout star of season 4 of Stranger Things, Joseph Quinn, is the latest actor to join the cast of Ridley Scott’s sequel.
Additionally, Connie Nielsen will return to the series after previously appearing in the original Gladiator. Nielsen and Quinn join Denzel Washington, Barry Keoghan, and Paul Mescal in the long awaited sequel. Mescal will be portraying the nephew of the nephew of Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus from the original Gladiator and Keoghan is stepping into a villainous role. Additionally, Quinn will portray Emperor Caracalla in the film.

Scott is directing the sequel to his 2000 film with his All The Money In The World writer David Scarpa penning the script. Ridley Scott’s Scott Free production banner is producing with Paramount Pictures backing the film. Paramount Pictures will release the film on November 22, 2024.
Joseph Quinn took the world by storm when he joined the cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things in season 4 as Eddie Munson. Additionally, Quinn touts memorable supporting roles in the BBC series Les Misérables and Strike. Up next, Quinn will star in Luna Carmoon’s upcoming indie drama Hoard. The actor will also star alongside Lupita Nyong’o in A Quiet Place: Day One.
