Megan Thee Stallion In Talks To Join Adam Sandler In Josh & Benny Safdie’s Netflix Film

Directors Josh & Benny Safdie are poised to reunite with Adam Sandler, the star of their 2019 critically acclaimed film Uncut Gems, for a new film in the works at Netflix. Now, as first reported by Deadline, Sandler could be getting an unexpected co-star with hip hop artist Megan Thee Stallion in talks to join the cast.
Per the initial report, Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, is circling the role but nearing a deal. The Safdies will direct with a script they co-wrote. The duo will also serve as the film’s producers with Netflix handling distribution.

At this time, details surrounding the film are scarce. In fact, the title of the film is not even currently known. However, Sandler did recently reveal that the plot is set within the world of sports memorabilia collecting.
At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, Megan Thee Stallion became the second female rapper to win Best New Artist, after Lauryn Hill in 1999. She also touts a win for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Savage (Remix)” alongside Beyoncé. Last year, she signed a first-look deal with Netflix to create content for the streaming service. Outisde of the world of music, the multihyphenate touts acting roles in Marvel’s She-Hulk and NBC’s Good Girls. Up next, Megan will star alongside Nathan Lane and Bowen Yang in A24’s F*cking Identical Twins.
