Camila Cabello Joins Mary J. Blige In Chiwetel Ejiofor’s ‘Rob Peace’

Camila Cabello is one of the most profitable pop stars on the planet. However, the multitalented performer recently made her acting debut alongside Billy Porter in Amazon’s Cinderella adaptation. Now it appears, the singer-songwriter has caught the acting bug for good. As first reported by Deadline, Cabello will join the cast of an upcoming drama titled Rob Peace
The film is written and will be directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor in his sophomore film. Cabello will star alongside Ejiofor, legendary singer Mary J. Blige and Tulsa King star Jay Will. Antoine Fuqua is on board to produce the feature as well.

Rob Peace is based on Jeff Hobbs’ bestselling biography The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace: A Brilliant Young Man Who Left Newark for the Ivy League. The film will follow Rob Peace (Jay Will), a young man growing up in a crime-ridden neighborhood in New Jersey. Years later, Peace attends and graduates from Yale with multiple degrees in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. However, Peace lived a double life as a cancer and infectious disease researcher and a major marijuana dealer. He was unfortunately murdered in a shooting in 2011
Camila Cabello rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Her debut studio album, Camila, reached number one on the US Billboard 200 in 2018. In addition to her starring role in Cinderella, the multihyphenate touts numerous appearances in a bevy of TV shows such as Saturday Night Live and The Voice.
