MAPPA To Produce ‘Campfire Cooking In Another World With My Absurd Skill’ Anime

The ever-busy anime studio MAPPA is set to develop a new isekai fantasy series set to debut in January 2023. It was officially announced that the studio will produce the television anime adaptation of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill.
Written by Ren Eguchi, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is a Japanese light novel that began publication in 2016. The series follows Mukouda Tsuyoshi, who lives in modern Japan until he is accidentally summoned to a fantasy world of sword and sorcery. With laughable stats and seeing no use in staying in the kingdom that brought him here, he sets out on his own. So with his unique skill that allows him to buy modern goods in a fantasy world, Mukouda discovers the absurd effects his items have on his new home.

In addition to the series confirmation, the leading voice cast was also announced. Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen) will voice the main character Mukouda. Satoshi Hino (Ainz Ooal Gown in Overlord) will voice Fel, a legendary magical beast with extraordinary powers that befriends Mukouda. And lastly, Hina Kino (Rorea in Management of a Novice Alchemist) will voice Sui, a slime that becomes a partner for Mukouda.
