Hilary Swank To Star In & Executive Produce Action-Thriller ‘NAR’

Hilary Swank is an Academy Award-winning actress with a legacy that precedes her. Up next, the actress is returning to the action genre with a new film in the works titled NAR, as first reported by Deadline.
Swank is on board to star in the film as well as serve as its executive producer. The script hails from screenwriters Clint Bentley and Greg Kwedar (Jockey). Moreover, Kwedar will direct the film with David Thwaites (Black Swan), John Logan Pierson (Spenser Confidential), and Friday Night Lights director Peter Berg producing as well.

NAR will reportedly take place in Latin America and follow Swank’s character, a wounded and isolated pilot following a crash in seemingly hostile territory. The pilot must rely on her will, her wit, and the help of a stranger who claims to be a member of a secret government network designed to bring her home. The U.S Defense Department program N.A.R. (Non-conventional Assisted Recovery) is the subject of the film with real-life counterintelligence officer and N.A.R. handler Bryan Stern serving as a consultant and producer for the project.
Hilary Swank is the recipient of two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Currently, Swank stars in the Hulu series Alaska Daily. Up next, the actress will star alongside House of the Dragon standout Olivia Cooke in Mother’s Milk.
