Marvel Studios Reportedly Developing A ‘Vision Quest’ Series

Marvel Studios is not done with Paul Bettany’s Vision based on a new report. Insider Jeff Sneider revealed during The Hot Mic podcast that the studio is developing a series focused on the character titled Vision Quest.
Vision Quest was a storyline written by John Byrne in the comics. When Byrne took over writing duties on West Coast Avengers in 1989, he kicked off his run with a Vision-centric story that ran from issue #42 to #45. The arc is noted for taking the character away from his earlier depictions that emphasized his more human nature, focusing instead on the fact he is just an android. The story had Vision’s memory wiped, severed his relationship with Wanda, and revealed that their children were imaginary constructs. Much of this has already been covered by the MCU over various films and WandaVision, so it will be interesting to see what the show is about.

Sneider is unsure if the series will adapt the storyline from the comics. He reported that a reliable source told him that Marvel is opening a writers’ room for the series set to start next week.
