‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ Anime Adaptation In Development

Ahead of the release of the manga’s latest volume, it has been announced that Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will be receiving an anime adaptation. The announcement was confirmed on the series’ social media.
Written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, Frieren: Journey’s End was first published in April 2020. The manga is serialized by Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday and currently has eight volumes released. Set decades after the elven mage Frieren and her adventuring party defeated the Demon King, the story follows her as she sets out to fulfill the last wishes of her friends as she begins to better understand humanity and herself.

The announcement did not confirm which studio will helm the series, nor was staff or a release date announced. Further details will likely be shared at a later date now that the adaption is in development, so for now, fans of the series can stay tuned for any updates.
