‘Captain America: New World Order’: Shira Haas Cast As Sabra

Marvel Studios has revealed some new casting for the highly anticipated sequel Captain America: New World Order. During the studio’s panel at D23 Expo, it was announced Shira Haas has been tapped to play the superheroine, Sabra.
Created by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema in 1980, the character made their debut in Incredible Hulk #256. Sabra is an Israeli government super-agent gifted with super strength, speed, and endurance. Using special technology, she is also able to fly, project powerful energy blasts, and create paralyzing quills. She also has the ability to transfer her life energy to others.

Malcolm Spellman, creator and head writer of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is penning the script with Dalan Musson, who served as a staff writer on the show. Nigerian-American filmmaker Julius Onah, best known for his work on 2018’s The Cloverfield Paradox, has been tapped to direct.
