Ezra was first introduced in the animated Star Wars: Rebels back in 2014. The character quickly became a fan favorite, with many fans clamoring for a live-action debut. He was last seen disappearing into space along with Grand Admiral Thrawn in the series’ finale.
Ahsoka will see Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) at the center of her own show. This iteration of the character was first introduced in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, where it was revealed she was on the search for Grand Admiral Thrawn. She then appeared in an episode of this year’s The Book of Boba Fett, where she is seen training young Grogu alongside Luke Skywalker.
Ahsoka hails from writer Dave Filoni, who will executive produce the series alongside Jon Favreau. Lucasfilm is financing the latest Star Wars live-action series with Disney+ handling distribution. Additionally, production on the series is slated to begin in the next few months.
