Mark Ruffalo & Naomi Ackie Join Robert Pattinson In Bong Joon Ho’s Next Film

In 2020, filmmaker Bong Joon Ho made history when his film Parasite became the first non-English language to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. Since then, fans of cinema have clamored about what’s next from the accomplished director. In January, it was reported that The Batman star Robert Pattinson is leading the cast for Joon Ho’s next endeavor. Now, according to Deadline, Pattinson will be joined by an all-star lineup including Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie, & Toni Collette.
Per the initial report, the currently untitled project is based on Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey7. The story’s plot follows Mickey7, an Expendable. An Expendable is a disposable employee on a human expedition to colonize the planet Niflheim. Whenever a mission takes a turn for the worst, the crew turns to Mickey7, who dies and regenerates a new body with most of his memories intact. However, after dying a number of times, Mickey7 goes missing and is presumed dead. Upon his return, he meets his replacement, Mickey8.
