Kid Cudi To Star In & Direct Netflix’s ‘Teddy’

Kid Cudi is one of the most influential performers of the modern era. So many artists celebrate the musician and credit him as an inspiration. Up next, the multitalented performer is making his mark in cinema. As first revealed by the performer via social media, Cudi will next make his directorial debut in a new film in the works for Netflix titled Teddy.

Cudi will make his directorial debut with Teddy after penning the screenplay himself. The rapper has tapped the producers behind The Harder They Fall Jay-Z, Jeymes Samuel, and James Lassiter. Moreover, Bron Studios and Cudi’s own Mad Solar production banner will produce with Netflix handling distribution.
Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, has sold 22 million certified records in the United States and has won two Grammy Awards from five nominations. The multihyphenate also touts acting roles in films like Don’t Look Up, Crisis, and, most recently, X. Additionally, Amazon Prime Video released an in-depth documentary focusing on Cudi titled A Man Named Scott in 2021. Up next, Cudi will star alongside Mckenna Grace in the upcoming Disney+ movie Crater.
