‘Ms. Marvel’ Has Cast Laurel Marsden As Zoe Zimmer

Marvel Studios is continuing to expand the cast of the upcoming Disney+ series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Laurel Marsden has been cast as Zoe Zimmer alongside Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan.
Created by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona in 2014, Zoe Zimmer debuted in Ms. Marvel #1. In the comics, she has often been a bully towards Kamala and her friends, but after being rescued by Ms. Marvel, she had a change of heart and became a better person. She eventually befriended Kamala and has become an important character in her own right.

Marsden has previously appeared in Quibi’s Survive opposite Sophie Turner. The Disney+ series will be the young actress’s first high-profile project.
Hailing from head writer Bisha K. Ali the series will introduce Kamala Khan to the MCU. Ms. Marvel is one of many series Marvel Studios is developing for Disney+ to introduce new characters into the MCU, with the other shows being She-Hulk and Moon Knight. Following their Disney+ debuts, the characters will reportedly move into films and appear alongside other heroes. WandaVision is set to become the first Marvel series to debut on the streaming service when it releases in 2021.
