Jeffrey Dean Morgan In Talks To Play Thomas Wayne In ‘The Flash’

Another DCEU alum could be making an appearance in Andy Muschietti’s The Flash. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in talks to reprise his role as Thomas Wayne in the film.
It was previously reported that the upcoming Flash solo film will adapt the iconic Flashpoint storyline. Recently, some casting revelations have added credence to this report, including the confirmation that Ray Fisher’s Cyborg will have a role in the film.
Written by Geoff Johns in 2011, Flashpoint saw Barry Allen’s Flash alter the past, creating a drastically changed DC Universe. For instance, in the Flashpoint timeline, it was Bruce Wayne who was killed in the alley, resulting in Thomas Wayne taking up the mantle of Batman.

Audiences have long hoped to see Morgan don the cape and cowl as the Flashpoint Batman, so this report should make many fans very happy. In the past, Morgan himself has indicated that he could suit up in a future Flashpoint storyline.
DC and Warner Bros. have remained rather tight-lipped concerning The Flash. The hope is that casting such Morgan’s and Fisher’s will be confirmed and officially announced at the upcoming DC FanDome event in August.
Last year, Muschietti spoke about his iteration of the Scarlet Speedster in an interview with Collider. “What captivated me about The Flash is the human drama in it,” the director stated. “The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”
