RUMOR: Hayden Christensen To Reprise Role In ‘Kenobi’ Series

UPDATE: During Thursday’s Disney Investor Day virtual event, it was confirmed that Hayden Christensen will star in an upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi solo series as Darth Vader. The show will stream exclusively on Disney+ and go into production early next year.
Hayden Christensen may finally make his return to a galaxy far far away. According to LRM Online, the actor is in talks to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Kenobi series on Disney+.
Although it is unclear how significant his role would be, LRM Online speculates he could appear in flashbacks and dream sequences. If this does come to fruition, it would finally reunite Christensen’s Anakin with Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan.

It should be noted this has neither been confirmed nor denied by Disney or Lucasfilm, so take this report with a grain of salt. Fans should note that this wouldn’t be too far fetched as Christensen already lent his voice to the Jedi sequence in The Rise of Skywalker.
According to LRM Online’s report, the plan is to announce the news officially at Star Wars Celebration along with Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano casting. The Disney+ Kenobi series is scheduled to begin production in early 2021 with Deborah Chow signed on to serve as showrunner for the six-episode series. McGregor is currently the only actor signed on to star in the series with more to be revealed hopefully soon.
Would you be excited to see Hayden Christensen appear in the Kenobi series as Anakin Skywalker? Are you excited about the Kenobi series on Disney+?
