Marvel Studios Reportedly Developing ‘Ultimatum’ Project

It looks like Marvel is already in the early stages of planning the next big MCU event. According to MCU Cosmic, Marvel Studios is developing Ultimatum.
Ultimatum was a 2009 comic storyline that dealt with Magneto attempting to destroy the world following the apparent deaths of his children, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. The storyline featured a number of key characters, including the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Doctor Doom, and Namor. The event was set in the Ultimate Marvel Universe, which featured re-imagined and modernized versions of Marvel characters. This universe inspired much of the MCU.

Obviously, much of the storyline would have to be changed to fit the MCU, but it is interesting Marvel is planning a possible event around the Fantastic Four and X-Men. In August, Kevin Feige revealed that development had already begun on both properties, but since then, news has been scarce on either.
By adapting Ultimatum, it would allow Marvel Studios to tackle a fresh take on their newly acquired Fox character. Fox never handled this specific storyline, so it would provide fans with a new version of the teams on the big screen.
