‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Will Reference Michael Keaton’s Batman

Yet another set photo from the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths has surfaced. This new image has revealed that the epic crossover will reference yet another DC property, Michael Keaton’s Batman.

This is the first film franchise we know of that the Crisis is set to feature, thus far, it has been limited to past TV series. The image shows a newspaper with a headline that reveals Keaton’s Bruce Wayne is set to marry what may be Michelle Pfeiffer’s Selina Kyle. Check it out below:

It looks like the Arrowverse heroes will be visiting Earth-89 long enough to spot this newspaper headline. This adds to the already stacked roster of alternate Earths they will visit, which includes the worlds of Kingdom ComeBatman ’66, Birds of Prey, and Smallville.

It’s unlikely anything notable will happen on this Earth beyond this interesting easter egg as it would be difficult for The CW to get any stars from the film to appear. However, with the hype surrounding this epic crossover event, it seems that the network is pulling out all the stops.

Are you excited to see The CW reference Michael Keaton’s Batman? What other DC properties do you hope appear? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. “This is the first film franchise we know of that the Crisis is set to feature, thus far, it has been limited to past TV series.”

Superman Returns was a movie. Brandon Routh is playing the same Superman he portrayed in that film.

  2. Rex the Wonder Dog Avatar
    Rex the Wonder Dog

Brandon Routh is playing the Kingdom Come Superman and I am not sure that Superman Returns was going to lead into that. The costume is different anyway.

Yeah, and Superman Returns was a sequel to Superman: The Movie and Superman II and his suit was different in that film from the one that Christopher Reeve wore. And of course Superman Returns wasn’t leading to that, they had no idea they were ever gonna get to this point! THEY CAN’T PLAN FOR THINGS THEY WEREN’T PLANNING BEFOREHAND!!! And why does him being Kingdom Come Superman mean that that’s the way he ALWAYS looked?! There’s absolutely NO REASON why he’s ALWAYS had this suit and looked like this. Kingdom Come took place in the future, after all sorts of things we likely never saw. Their’s no reason ANY Superman can’t eventually become Kingdom Come Superman. Rex, none of your points make any sense. None of them mean anything, dumbass. You’re completely wrong.

  3. If you think Batman (1989 film) and Batman Returns are set on Earth-89, here’s what I think.
