Cinematographer Robert Richardson Joins The Crew Of ‘Venom 2’

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood cinematographer Robert Richardson has found his next project. He will be joining Sony’s Venom 2 in the same role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony will be reuniting the three-time Academy Award winner with director Andy Serkis for the first time since 2017. Richardson was the director of photography when Serkis made his directing debut in 2017’s drama, Breathe.
Sony is looking to begin filming in November. Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams will be returning. Woody Harrelson will have a bigger role this time around as the villain Cletus Kasady, also known as Carnage. Harrelson made a cameo in a post-credit scene at the end of Venom. Kelly Marcel wrote the script for Venom 2.
Richardson has made an impressive career as a director of photography. He has worked with a lot of well-known directors in Hollywood with the likes of Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, and Quentin Tarantino on multiple films. With Serkis and Richardson working together for a second time, hopefully, it will be the start of the next formidable director and cinematographer pairing.
