‘Captain Marvel’ Star Gemma Chan In Talks To Join ‘Eternals’

Another high profile actor is set to join Chloe Zhao’s upcoming Marvel Studios film. According to Variety, Gemma Chan is in talks to join Eternals.
Chan is best known for her role as Astrid in the 2018 breakout hit Crazy Rich Asians. Her other credits include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Transformers: The Last Knight, and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Earlier this year, Chan starred alongside Brie Larson in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel as the Kree warrior Minn-Erva.
Variety reports that Chan will likely play a new role in Eternals, marking one of the few times an actor has portrayed two different characters in the same cinematic universe.

Created by Jack Kirby in 1976, the Eternals are a race of superpowered, near-immortal beings who were created by the Celestials.
